TTL - StayTnT Domestic Campaign

Like the rest of the Caribbean, Trinidad’s tourism industry has been hit hard by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. As borders remain closed to international traffic and the pandemic continues its devasting spread in the world markets, staycations will provide a foundation for stabilization of the industry, form of revenue for tourism players and set the stage for recovery when borders are reopened in due course.

Tourism Trinidad Limited (TTL) will be launching 2020 STAYCATION: SWEET SWEET TRINIDAD, a campaign that brings together the various products and services of Trinidad’s tourism players to create attractive domestic packages for the public’s buy-in and enjoyment. This initiative consists of a series of tour experiences to various sites and attractions in Trinidad as well as special accommodation packages which will run during the period July to December 2020.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

§  In collaboration with the Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Relations Unit, we refined the social media strategy and implementation plan for the domestic tourism campaign. The designated platforms used were Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tik Tok. The handle is @StayTnT. (We created the Twitter, Instagram and Tik Tok pages)

§  Maintain a unified brand voice across different social media channels.

§  Established a Corporate Tik Tok and Twitter Corporate Social Media Account. Links - https://www.tiktok.com/@stayt.t and https://www.twitter.com/stay_tn

§  Develop comprehensive analytical reports on the performance of the corporate social media channels and this includes researching audience preferences and discovering current trends. The monitoring of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and user engagement is critical.

§  Develop creative and graphic design layouts for the posts.

§  Creation and editing of written, video and photo content as well as attend tour experiences and other events to produce live social media content

§  Recommend engaging ideas and image and video content that will heighten audience curiosity and create buzz around Tourism Trinidad Limited and the Staycation campaign

§  Provide training to the staff of the Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Units in using the full range of social media in a cohesive and beneficial way

§  Optimise the social media calendar for the Staycation campaign in collaboration with the Corporate Communications & Stakeholder Unit.
